Clayton State Continuing Education Introduces New Facilities Management
Certification Program
Morrow, Ga., Dec. 12, 2006 -- Clayton State University’s Division of
Continuing Education has announced a new Facilities Management Certification
Program that will begin in February 2007.
The Facilities Management Certification Program equips facilities managers with
the up-to-date skills and knowledge required to meet the challenges of this
critical and multifaceted role. Both new facilities managers and those with more
experience will find the program valuable, as the program delves into both
technical topics and the complexities of managing diverse staff.
The subjects explored range from preventive and predictive maintenance and the
operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems to supervising
all individuals involved in the construction of new facilities.
The program will be valuable for individuals who have become or plan to assume
positions where their responsibilities involve facilities management. In
addition, practicing facilities managers who seek to upgrade their skills and
increase their earning potential will also want to take advantage of this
opportunity.
Courses offered include: Electrical and Mechanical Systems; Principles of
Management and Supervision; Preventative and Predictive Maintenance; Facilities
Maintenance Management System; and Project Administration and Supervision.
